A new full length Heroes of the Jurassic Coast story from guest writer Godfrey Kent brings together scenes of high drama in sunny East Devon and war-torn Syria. In ‘A Nation’s Treasure’, danger once again threatens Peter, Caroline, Eddie and Bud as they struggle for survival with new friends who are seeking refuge from people smugglers and terrorists. At stake is a fortune in gold, hidden deep in caves in ISIS-held territory.
Written in short sharp chapters, the story has proved popular with all generations. It was much enjoyed when read aloud to Age Concern clients at Budleigh Salterton Hub, as their summer story.
The book is on sale at Budleigh Salterton TIC at just £5 and each purchase provides a contribution to much needed TIC funding. It will shortly also be available as a download on Kindle.
The Arts Society celebrates its 50th (golden) anniversary in 2018. To mark the event, the ‘Heroes’ story theme for that year will be ‘GOLD’. This single word will be interpreted in short stories, poetry, mural art and song by schools throughout East Devon. Watch this space for more details, coming soon.
